WWE NXT: I Like Where This is Going.
The early seasons of NXT (aka seasons 1&2) were good. It was something new, it had direction and purpose, and it was fun to watch. I must admit that I only saw a fraction of the Divas, and completely missed about 80% of the fourth season, but this past season, NXT Redemption I never bothered with, until recently.
There was probably nothing wrong with the recent season of NXT, other than the fact that it's now been on for a whole year, but once the whole competition element appeared to be dropped, and the show focused more on matches it seemed to just appeal to me more than it had ever done before. In fact, the show in its current format appeals to me more now than it ever did back in the early stages (again, seasons 1&2, where the competition was about winning a shot at the WWE title of their choice.)
I am hoping, possibly a little too much, that the WWE will see sense and make NXT a brand of its own, where they could showcase new talent, and perhaps develop it as a Cruiserweight brand. Considering the likes of Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd are already regulars on NXT, it wouldn't take a lot to move them, along with a few others, over there permanently, and reinstate the Cruiserweight title. In all honesty, I think this would be a good way to utilise the roster members currently not be used, or being rarely used.
NXT would also be a good place to build up the Divas Division a little more, using current NXT talents like Maxine and Kaitlyn, and taking across the likes of AJ, and Tamina. This past week on NXT (2/29/2012) the main event was a Divas match (Maxine v Kaitlyn), which got more ring time than any other Divas matches I've seen lately (almost 6 minutes by my count) and both women were good, if not better, than most of the Divas that wrestle on the main brands. (I'll name no names, but y'all can probably guess who I'm talking about)
While ECW was a introduced as a third brand for the sake of bringing back an old fan favourite, developing NXT as a brand would be the perfect way to ease new talent onto the roster, and feel out how the fans take to their gimmick and ring work before shoving them onto Raw or Smackdown. Kind of the way the show started out, introducing FCW talent to the fans, then easing them into the roster, (Or in the case of the season one rookies, having them crash into the roster.) only without making the fans sit through weeks of pointless tasks, quizzes and competitions.
I know not many WWE fans like NXT, and most probably ignore it, but I know for a fact I'll be watching every week if it continues the way it has been running these past few months.
So, what do y'all think should/will be done with NXT now that the competition is all but cancelled? Third brand? Stop the show? Anything else?

Wrestling Fans Who Don't Understand Kayfabe.
So, after the 'firing' of The Miz and R-Truth on Monday night's Raw Supershow, wrestling fans have been left wondering where this angle would go, with many predicting an nWo style invasion at one of the upcoming Pay-Per-View events next month (Hell in a Cell and Vengeance). Well, when I say wrestling fans, I mean those who understand that pro wrestling is all about illusion, the art of letting people believe what they see is real despite knowing it's not.
While the knocks and bumps suffered in the ring are real, ninety per cent of what happens outside the ring, during the backstage and ringside segments, is scripted. In this day and age, with the internet being an integral part of most people's lives, it would probably be safe to assume that this would be extremely well known. But judging by Twitter feeds following the events of Raw, it would seem that some people are completely oblivious to how the world works.
The best Tweet I've read so far is: 'The Miz and R-Truth av bin fired. The WWE website sez so.'
I'm far from being the most intelligent person in the world, as proved by the fact that I just had to type that sentence four times because I misspelled intelligent, but even I can see that if The Miz and R-Truth had really been fired, then The Miz would not have done the radio interview a few mornings later, nor would the WWE have bothered to interview his parents and post the video on the website, and the video taken of the other Superstars' reactions would not have happened.
This is all an incredibly well put together work, and I intend to enjoy it while it lasts. Don't get me wrong, I'm a massive fan of The Miz, but having him off Raw for a few weeks means that some of my other favourites in the lower card may get some air time.
And for now, I leave you with this amusing picture of The Miz that I found on Google =D

Guy Candy in The WWE
I know I know. This is going to be one of the most shallow wrestling blogs I've posted. It's mostly one for all female wrestling fans out there who watch for more than the 'athletic talents' of the men. =)
1] Randy Orton
Seriously, this guy is a God in my eyes. Well stacked, tanned, gorgeous. Plus, he has those tats. =D Awww man, just looking at the tats is enough to make me melt. And now he has a beard, I love men with tats and beards, that's like a dream combo for me. His eyes are to die for as well, and the twisted smile when he 'Vipers Up' is just... wow.
2] John Morrison
This guy, I mean, how can you not look at him and fall in love? Seriously. Those abs, that hair, the beard... *wipes drool from the keyboard* Plus, his voice is enough to make me wanna grab him and fuck him senseless. =D I don't care how bad he is on the mic, his voice... just... ah!
3] The Miz
I don't know why I find the Miz attractive. It could be because he spends so much time in a suit. But the little smirk, and the faux hawk are just so cute to look at. And I loved the hat and 'Chick Magnet' thing he rocked when he teamed with Morrison.
3.5] The Tag Team of Miz and Morrison
The best looking tag team in the history of the WWE! Funny as a pair, and just impossible not to fall in love with them. <3 The Dirt Sheet is one of the funniest things to have come out of the WWE in a hell of a long time.
4] Justin Gabriel
He's pretty. And South African. This time I can definitely tell you that it is more than the beard that makes me love this man. I die every time I hear him talk. The South African accent gets me seriously hot, I'm not joking. Justin Gabriel could stand in front of me and talk for hours about absolute bull crap and I wouldn't have a clue what he was saying. Accent+ those looks= MAJOR distraction.
5] Jeff Hardy
Yeah, yeah I know, he's a junkie, he's fat, what the fuck ever. I love him, always have done, and always will. Jeff Hardy is the reason I wrestle, he's the reason I'm still a fan of wrestling, and he's the reason my hair changes colour as often as I can afford to dye it. Plus, he's not bad looking, and that's always a plus when you're watching men rolling around wearing not a lot.
6] Alex Riley
He's a babe, I don't care what anyone says. The cocky smirk and Miz-a-like looks are enough for me, whether he can wrestle or not. =D
7] Edge
The legend that is Edge. He's a total hottie, so damn gorgeous. Edge will always hold a special place in my heart for being a part of the best era of WWE ever.
8] Kofi Kingston
Hot hot hot hot hot! I love this man. His smile is the most gorgeous thing in the ring, hell, he's got the most gorgeous smile in the whole damn world.
9] CM Punk
While I don't like him as a person, he's pretty nice to look at. Plus he has facial hair and tattoos, which is always a good combination of things.
10] Ted Dibiase Jr
Sod the fact that he's got money and a wrestling legacy, he's got a damn fine body on him. So when Cody Rhodes is blah, blah, blahing every week on Smackdown, I just admire the view beside him. =)
So, there you have my top ten pieces of Guy Candy in recent WWE history. There's probably a few more, but these are the only ones hot enough to make my list.
P.S. I'm off to Vancouver tomorrow for 15 days, so there will be absolutely no blog posts until I return =D

Recent WWE happenings. And future predictions.
So I'm rather bad at getting things right when it comes to predictions, especially in sport, but here's my thoughts on recent WWE events, and predictions on where things will go from here.
Departing Talent
So I'm not overly bothered about David Hart-Smith, Chris Marsters or Koslov being released, but with Melina going and Gail Kim quitting I'm getting extremely annoyed about the state of the Divas division.
Gail Kim: Eliminated herself in the Divas Battle Royal on Monday night Raw, and then tweeted a few days later that she had quit on the Monday. Definitely a wasted talent in a division ruled by bimbos and wannabe models.
Melina: Despite being rather injury prone, Melina has talent in the ring, it's just a shame that the WWE refused to see that. I can only hope that she sees the opportunity and heads to TNA, sorry, Impact, to join the Knockouts, and takes Gail with her.
I'm only hoping that John Morrison doesn't take Melina's release to heart and decides to leave. He has so much talent that he would be wasted at Impact, and possibly anywhere else. He was made to be watched and seen, and currently the WWE is the only place that he will get the attention his talent deserves.
Future Storylines (well, my ideas at least)

Future Storylines (well, my ideas at least)
- John Morrison. Yeah, I like talking about him almost as much as I like looking at him. =P I'd like to see him turn heel again, especially now he has that awesome facial hair. Now that girlfriend Melina has been released, I'd like to see him turn on the WWE, not quitting, but joining CM Punk and his crusade against the company. Imagine how awesome that would be, CM Punk and John Morrison- 'voices of the voiceless' =D Plus, working with Punk could well bring Morrison's promo talents up to the level people want them to be. I also want to see Morrison win a few titles by this time next year, preferably after being drafted to Smackdown and winning either the intercontinental championship or the world heavyweight title.
- The Undertaker. The phenom, the legend. I think it's time for him to retire if I'm being quite honest, and the best way for it to happened would be for him to have a Career OR Streak match at Wrestlemania 28 next year. Either he wins the match and retires undefeated at WM (20-0), or he loses, the streak is broken and he continues to wrestle sporadically.
- Kane. Another one who should well retire soon. I'm thinking that this whole 'I'm becoming human and less of a monster' thing they're running at the moment is a way of very slowly winding him down, and by the end he will announce that he is retiring because no one is afraid of him anymore.
- The Divas. Hmmmm. I gotta say, I am now a huge fan of Beth Phoenix and Natalya. After the way they beat down Kelly Kelly and AJ, and proclaimed that 'the age of the bimbo diva is over' I've suddenly become a fan of them both. Bring it on girls. I predict that they will go on the dominate the Divas division very quickly, teaming up and also recruiting a couple more women to their cause, although now that Gail Kim and Melina are gone I can't think of anyone else who would be good enough to join them. That being said, if AJ had some serious training, she could be an extremely good competitor.
What's happened lately
It's been a while since I blogged about WWE happenings, actually, I haven't commented on anything since before Money In The Bank. So I don't think I can't keep track of every last thing that has happened, so here's my thoughts on everything that has happened that I count as important.
CM Punk: Everything that happened after MITB was a work, it had to have been. Why else would he have made such a big deal about parading around with the belt, tweeting pictures of it all over the place, and then gatecrashing the WWE panel at SDCC if he was planning on taking it elsewhere? I believe that he had already signed a new contract, and the idea was that he had to just do not a lot except be CM Punk for a couple of weeks while HHH took over as COO.
That being said, I love Punk, I love everything he stands for, and I love watching him, be it in the ring or on the mic, the man is a genius, and he's the one everyone will be talking about in ten/twenty years time, not John Cena, not Randy Orton, but CM Punk.
Triple H and Vince McMahon: Wow! I don't care if it is a work, this is one of the most epic things I have seen in a long time. Triple H deserves a massive BOOOOOOOOO! from me for interrupting Vince firing Cena, but he gets a WoopWoop for replacing Vince as COO, and being generally awesome. The following week's Raw was brilliant as well. HHH resigning Jim Ross, and then mocking R-Truth before announcing Morrison was back! GENIUS! The only thing I would punch him for is Zack Ryder! Okay, so we all comlained when the guy got no air time, but now he's on screen so much I wanna slap him silly and shove the bloody mic up his ass.
Morrison/Miz/R-Truth: I LOVE whoever dreamt up this feud! Seriously! I want to see this run for a while, maybe even drag in Riley once his feud with Ziggles is done, so that he can team with Morrison and they can give the Miz a beat down. =)
I've already commented on the Divas situation, so I won't mention that again. Too much Diva talk makes me sad =P =D
Okie dokie, I think that's everything. Adios amigas

Hello Again!
Wow! I've not been here in a while! Shocker! Any way, happy summer everybody. =D Hope the weather is as good with y'all as it is with me.
Here's a little update on what I've been up to recently. =D
Here's a little update on what I've been up to recently. =D
- In three weeks I shall be in Vancouver with my friends! I've been counting down for months, and now it's nearly here I'm buzzing constantly about it.
- Right now it's carnival week in my home town. A picture blog will follow some time next week. =D
- Apparently all web browsers hate me, every time I try to use one, they freeze at least once. =/ Oh well, I shall keep trying until I find one that works.
- Did I mention Vancouver yet? =D
- Once I get back from Canada I'll be searching for a new job, which I'm kinda happy about.
- I'm getting addicted to watching the download counter at the bottom of the Google Chrome browser right now. =)
- I'm back into the swing of watching WWE every week. Still tempted to buy tickets for the UK tour, but need more money first. =(
- Charlie Sheen is awesome!
- Finally getting around to adding the few work colleagues I actually like on Facebook. =) It's only taken almost a year with some of them.
- Shopping and actually buying clothes! Shocking yes I know, but I actually went shopping and brought clothes, well, dresses, which is even more shocking for me! =D
- Chilling out around work. I have found an immense love of chilling out in the sun these days, which is rather strange because I hate the summer normally =D
So yeah, that's everything that's happened with me recently. I'll get a photo blog of the carnival up next week, and a catch up of my views on recent WWE events by the end of this week. =D Maybe even tomorrow. =D
Adios amigas
